Vampire Rank

A vampire clan is extremely hierarchial with each vampire occupying a certain rank from a commoner to a high noble. Each clan is led by a Sovereign, the founder and absolute ruler. The rank of a vampire within a clan is determined by the Sovereign. Rank is normally an indication of relative age as a vampire. Thus it is not suprising that the higher ranking vampires tend to be more able to control their vampiric abilities, resist the effects of turn undead and consume more blood.

The ranks of a vampire clan in order from commoner to royalty are:
FledglingYet to complete training with his/her master
PlebianCompleted training, not acknowledged by Sovereign
 
BourgeoisieAcknowledged but still a commoner
AristocratLow ranking noble, normal ranking
PatricianHigh ranking noble
PunditLow ranking elder
ElderMid-ranking elder
PrimevalHigh ranking elder, normally child of Sovereign
ScionRoyalty, the chosen child of the Sovereign
SovereignRoyalty, the founder of the clan
