Coins are the foundation of the world's economy. There are four
types of coins, each worth a different amount. From least to most
valuable, they are copper, silver, gold and platinum. Long ago a
sage wizard enchanted all the coins of the realm so that they
would automatically convert to the most valuable coins. However,
some shop keepers have not updated their merchandise signs, still
displaying prices in gold or even copper. The table of exchange
rates is most useful in calculating prices in such shops.

               Silver    Gold      Platinum

     Copper     100      1000        5000

     Silver      1        10          50

     Gold        -         1           5

For example, if something is priced at 5 gold coins, that is
the same as 1 platinum coin, 50 silver coins or 5000 copper
coins. 100 copper coins is the same as 1 silver coin.

Please note that the same magic which enchanted the coins has
also made it impossible for players to hold more platinum than
their level in their money pouches. This means a level 5 player
can only hold 5 platinum coins in his money pouch. Any excess
should be de
posited in the nearest bank. The world banking system
has conveniently located a branch in most major cities and some
minor cities.
