Creatorship

Becoming a creator is not simply a matter of reaching 30th level and doing some quests. On the contrary, it's much more!

A player must, of course, have reached 30th level.

Your character and involvement with other players should be recognizable to creators and players alike. That means that your reputation is very important when petitioning to become a creator.

To apply for creatorship, you must go to city hall and apply. Your application will be reviewed by the current coders and voted on. If you are accepted as a creator, you will be told the address of the development server and asked to log on there.

Your player character will remain as is on the player site. Your creator character will be on the development site. When you have an area which is ready to open (including passing QC), your code will be moved to the player site and your creator character will be added to the player site. Your creator character on the development site will be promoted to SAGE and you will be made a member of a domain.

Coding rooms and items is not for all players, so it is generally advised that a high level player think carefully about whether he wishes to code.

NOTE

These rules are "flexible" supposidly. When Shwaine took control of the mud, she decided to voluntarily change rules. The first one changed what that anyone she feels like, regardless on if they have earned it/met the requirements. So, if you want to code, kiss her ass.

Another rumored change, though not that important, is that the first area you code, while an apprentice, may not nessecarily be added into the game. So, you can make a garbage, pointless area just to get to be a "real" creator, and take it from there.

Basically, and I guess this applies to all the rules now that Shwaine owns the mud, don't be surprised if her interpretation of a rule isn't too in line with what the help files say. Her side of it is that some of those help files are just "guidelines" and word like MUST, AT LEAST, and NO EXCEPTIONS WHATSOEVER don't exactly mean that.
