What are Classes?
-----------------

Classes are the basic skill units of the game. A player in a class gains the ability to train in all skills and/or spells of that class.

All players begin as a fighter. In order to join another class, the player must find the training area of that class and pay a small fee, approximately 1 gold piece times the level of the player. Players may leave a class they are in at any time by going to the training area and leaving. When you leave a class, you loose all skills and abilities of that class.

Note! Leaving all classes is not a good thing since you will not be able to equip normally. Always be in at least one class unless you have left all your classes to join a guild.

What is Multi-Classing?
-----------------------

Multi-classing is joining more than one class, such as a fighter mage. Multi-classed players gain the skills of all the classes they are in, however, there is a cost for not being devoted to a single class. It is much more expensive to advance class skills if you multi-class, although it is the same to advance primary skills. This added cost is as follows:

Number of Classes Cost to Advance
           2 3x normal
           3 4.5x normal
           4 6x normal
This means that a skill that costs a single classed player 30 exp to raise would cost a 2 class player 90 xp to raise, a 3 class player 135 xp and a 4 class player 180 xp. Multi-classed players also receive the most restrictive armour guidelines. This means a fighter-mage can wear only mage armour. On the flip side, multi- classed players gain the least restrictive weapons guidelines which means a fighter-mage can use all weapons. Multi-classed players also gain an average of the HP for all their classes.

Also note than some classes have special skills or bonuses which are restricted to single classed players.

What are Guilds?
----------------

Guilds are special forms of classes that do NOT allow multi- classing. Guilds are typically made of the skills of two or more classes plus a few skills unique to the guild. This allows a player to have skills from multiple classes without paying the extra experience costs. But this also means the player can never join another class.

You must leave all classes before being allowed to join a guild. Just as with classes, it will cost approximately 1 gold piece per your level to join a guild.
